Mr. George Koshy joins Lakshmi Prasanna as Senior General Manager – Procurement, bringing over 23 years of distinguished and high-impact experience in Supply Chain Management, Global Procurement and Project Management across the EPC, power, energy, manufacturing, and infrastructure sectors.
A Mechanical Engineering graduate from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala, George has held key leadership positions with globally recognized organizations including Toshiba JSW Power Systems, Lanco Infratech, and Rolls-Royce Energy Systems. He possesses extensive expertise in strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, vendor development, procurement planning, logistics, expediting, and end-to-end supply chain management for large-scale industrial and power projects.
George brings valuable international exposure, having worked in Beijing, China, for over five years, where he was responsible for procurement coordination, vendor development, and supply chain management across China, Japan, South Korea, Europe, North America, and other global markets. This international experience has provided him with deep insights into global sourcing strategies, cross-cultural business practices, and international contract management.
Throughout his career, he has successfully led complex procurement and contracting activities, driven cost optimization initiatives, strengthened supplier partnerships, and ensured timely project execution with reputed vendors across India and overseas. His expertise encompasses procurement strategy, contract administration, supplier relationship management, risk management, vendor auditing, international trade mechanisms (Incoterms and Letters of Credit), and project management excellence.
As the Head of Procurement at Lakshmi Prasanna, George is responsible for leading the organization’s procurement and supply chain functions, leveraging his extensive industry knowledge and global experience to deliver value, drive efficiency, and support the Company’s strategic growth objectives. In addition, he heads the Asset Department, with responsibility for the procurement, tracking, and monitoring of all heavy civil and mechanical equipment under his scope of work. A strong team of engineers reports to George, ensuring the smooth execution of various commercial building developments, villa projects, and construction activities across multiple sites.
